A Sweeping Silence was documented as part of the creation for Breaking Silence (2013). It is the unheard sounds that were behind the making of the main work. It is a digitally inspired take on Robert Morris’s Box with the Sound of its own Making (1961). It reflects the personal, silent relationship Aleksandrow developed as part of the process; each movement made was considerate and minimal.
